“The SHR Experience” is one of the most successful dance events in Saint Lucia. 

At The SHR Experience, international choreographers are invited to teach and network with dancers in Saint Lucia. In turn, the choreographers learn one of St.Lucia’s many traditional dances. The objective of this workshop is to provide St. Lucian dancers with the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and network with active dance practitioners from around the world. This event creates an avenue for networking in the local, regional and international dance communities and encourages dancers to view dance as a profession.

The SHR Experience culminates in awarding a Saint Lucian dance group with dance equipment for their studio or students, as most groups lack the basic necessities for training. Thus far, The SHR Experience has welcomed various dance and theatre groups from the Caribbean and has featured international choreographers who have worked alongside Keke Palmer, Meek Mill, Spice, Snoop Dogg and So You Think You Can Dance to name a few.
